Pixel art is cool and all but I don't like the place it has between kids these days.
They seem to regard it as a valid art school that has merit on it's own, when pixel art is a tool born out of hardware limitations, and the only real reason to do it is to do production art for such hardware (or if you want to do a lol so old school hipster game).
Some people do pixel art that's so big in resolution and so full of detail they might as well just have painted it. It's sad how some people forget their own place in the industry.
