No, really. Digital artwork is a different beast than traditional. In traditional, you have only the basics: line, value, space, and maybe color. This forces you to learn what they do well and how to improvise and compromise.
In digital, you have all sorts of shortcuts and handy brushes that you won't have normally. Undo and layers are things that come to mind when I talk about this. If you learn to use these before the fundamentals, then you're shooting yourself in the foot and using digital as a crutch.

THAT BEING SAID(and if you didn't read it may your eyes fall out), here's some answers.
1. Bamboo is going to be paraded around alot for a reason. It's high quality shit compared to most others. When that tablet fries out, take it on yourself to buy one.
